Pittsburgh's Best Kept Secret
Nestled in a rustic setting of wooded hills and green lawns, are the
500 townhouse condominium residences that comprise Pennsbury Village.

all we have to offer.
At its center, a post clock identifies the Commercial Building that
houses a popular restaurant and lounge, hair and tanning salon, a laundry,
saunas, and several offices. Here is also a beautifully decorated Party
Room that is available to residents for large social functions such
as weddings, graduation receptions, baby showers and public meetings.
It overlooks a spectacular Olympic-size swimming pool below. Just beyond,
are two-lighted tennis courts and a combination basketball and volleyball
court. Elsewhere, a small park houses swings and slides for pre-school
age children and a barbeque grill for picnics.
In the summer, Pennsbury takes on the look and feel of a resort. Swimming
and lounging at the pool give way in late afternoon to cookouts on
the decks and patios of nearby residences. Evenings sparkle with the
sights and sounds of starlit concerts at poolside, as Pennsbury Performing
Arts presents some of the area's premiere musical artists.
Pennsbury Village Recreational Facilities
The Pennsbury Condominium Association operates an Olympic-size swimming pool
from late May until Labor Day. There are also two-lighted tennis courts, a basketball
and volleyball court, a playground and park equipped with swings and other amusements
for young children. Settler's Cabin Park is also just a few minutes away where
the county operates a huge wave pool, picnic groves and other facilities.
Pennsbury Performing Arts
A series of free summer concerts are staged each summer at poolside in Pennsbury
Village. A variety of professional bands, orchestras and vocalists appear each
year at Pennsbury for the enjoyment of residents and the general public.
Pennsbury Village is located seven miles west of downtown Pittsburgh. Interstate
279 provides easy access to the central business district with its acclaimed
cultural district replete with concert halls, theaters, cabarets and restaurants,
as well as numerous retail establishments. PNC Park houses the Pittsburgh Pirates
baseball club and is situated just across the Allegheny River, along with Heinz
Field, the home of the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers, and the
University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
Continuing 3 miles east from downtown on Interstate 376 lies the Oakland section
of the city. Here are located the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh
and Carnegie-Mellon University, in addition to several museums, art galleries
and the UPMC Medical Center.
To the west of Pennsbury, Pittsburgh International Airpport can be easily
reached in 20 minutes. The nearby Mall at Robinson and adjacent shopping centers,
housing over 100 shops and large retailers, 30 restaurants and several movie
theaters is located just 5 miles away.
